Excel shows which content will be included in a page (when printed) with a dashed outline.
If you can’t see this follow these steps (just one of them 🙂 ):
- Go to File Menu and Select Print
You don’t have to do a print or anything just go to this view. This will remind excel to show those dashed lines so when you go back to the excel sheet you will see those visible.
If this doesn’t work for you then make sure if your workbook is saved as a proper Excel workbook.
Even though if you could open many file types in Excel, you can’t perform all features of Excel on all file types.
For example, You won’t see these dashed lines if your file type is CSV
(comma separated values).
